Graham County is known as "Big Cock Country" due to the excellent Pheasant hunting in the area. The County is known for its abundance of other Game Birds, such as Doves and Turkeys, as well as Deer.
Multiple Lodging and Guide services are available for hunters, as well as walk-in Public Hunting areas.
Nicodemus, established in 1877, is the oldest remaining all black Community West of the Mississippi.
It is a National Symbol of African-Americans experiencing Freedom in the West post Civil War.
The Annual Nicodemus Emancipation/Homecoming Celebration, first held on August 1st, 1878, is held every year during the last full Weekend of July.

Antelope Lake & Trexler Lake, formerly known as "Trexler Pond", as well as Webster Lake nearby in Rooks County & Sheridan State Fishing Lake, just over the County Line to the West, draw anglers from all over the Country.
Graham County sells more Fishing Licenses per capita than any other County in Kansas.
